With so many applications at work in dealerships and poor integration, many dealers are forced to utilise intelligence and reporting solutions on top of their everyday systems. Data from multiple systems such as the DMS, online marketplaces and lead generation tools, is literally sucked out into another system and regurgitated to provide an overview. Information is provided in Autofinity’s new Insights dashboard specifically designed to provide essential information in an accessible fashion with the ability to easily drill down into more detail without switching applications.

Charts tell dealers a host of information such as the number of days in stock so it is immediately apparent whether a vehicle is at 0-30; 31-60; 61-90; or 90 days plus. The charts also show the number of days since the price update and number of days since any update, thus, action required is clearly visible. Dealers can also see the number of vehicles uploaded to online market sites for sale enabling them to act on any unpublished vehicles, for example, those pending images

For each ‘issue’ highlighted, overdue stock, for example, users click in to view a list of vehicles with the same problem (as well as anything else associated with that individual car).

The dashboard can be tailored to an individual’s use - a senior leader may want to have visibility of all stock whilst a general manager may only need information for the individual business managed and a brand manager will want oversight of all vehicles within the specific franchise across the group.

The ability to easily identify problem vehicles means no delay in allocating the task to a member of staff for fast resolution.

Many dealer groups aggregate business intelligence systems from several different sources and filter through a reporting platform rather than the problem flagged on a dashboard for immediate rectification. Reporting platforms provide oversight but not in real time which means senior leaders view the problem from the previous month or quarter rather than having the ability to identify the issue and take action in the present. Such actional insights enable sales teams to easily stay abreast of problems and make changes immediately to keep stock flowing through the sales funnel.

Suddenly, dealers have one overall picture of their business and inventory in real time. Oversight, control and the ability to make decisions based on facts becomes a reality rather than waiting for the end of month spreadsheet which takes hours or even days to compile.
